Children ages 3 to 5
The White Hall, Drejervej 15
Sundays at 11:00 am
Nano provides an experience for small children that they are sure to enjoy. Our team of volunteers creates a calm, playful atmosphere where kids can learn how to interact with each other, develop their creative and motor skills, and start to build a strong foundation for their faith.
A typical Sunday at Nano starts with registration at 10:40 am. Parents are invited to use our digital check-in system to drop off their kids—or register them if they are new to Nano. All children are given a number to keep them secure and help us contact their parent or guardian if they require attention.
Nano starts with free play and guided activities, led by our volunteers. Around 11:20 am, the children brought together into a group to sing songs and hear a story from the Bible—which is often brought to life by one of our volunteers with illustrations, puppetry, or acting. We also take time to ask the kids how their week is going, address any questions about the Bible story, and pray together.
Next, we move into creative time. The kids are invited to draw, paint, or create something that anchors the Bible lesson they just heard about. They are encouraged to take their creation home to share with the parents and hopefully spark a discussion about what they’ve learned.
Finally, we bring the kids together in small groups sorted by age so they can get to know each other better and build solid friendships. Together, they share a healthy snack and talk together with guidance from a volunteer.
Nano ends at 12:20 pm. Parents are asked to pick up their children by 12:30 pm.
Some of Nano kids’ favorite activities include:
- Building with Duplo Lego
- Drawing, painting, and coloring
- Build Flexitrak
- Snack time
Nano is led by Christina Uhrenholdt, mother of 3, longtime volunteer, and kommune social worker.
